Euthanasia & Pet Loss
Euthanasia at SouthCare
When the difficult decision has been made to euthanize your family pet, we offer you and your family some choices.
Attended Euthanasia (one or more family members will remain with their pet during the euthanasia. We will place an IV catheter and an extension for the injection to allow the family to hold and comfort their pet during their passing).
Unattended (for those who do not wish to be present during the procedure, we will admit your pet to the hospital for the euthanasia).
House Call (for families that prefer to have their pet remain at home for the euthanasia).
What are your options for your pet’s remains with SouthCare?
Private cremation (Remains are cremated individually (guaranteed) by Family Pet Memorial, placed in an urn, and returned to the family. We will take care of all the arrangements for this service).
Communal cremation (Remains are cremated in a mass crematorium (service provided by TLC Pet Services), no remains are returned to the family. We also make all the arrangements for this service).
Pet cemetery burial (Arrangements can be made for burial in a pet cemetery, Family Pet Memorial also provides this service. We can contact them to begin the process and arrange for transportation).
