Puppy/Kitten/New Pet Exams

Our doctors will give your new pet a comprehensive exam and discuss your pet’s personalized plan for vaccinations, deworming, and other preventative care.  Bring your questions–we would love to help you with your new pet!

Surgery

Our surgeries are performed in our dedicated surgery suite by our skilled doctors.  All of our surgical patients have an IV catheter placed for drug and fluid administration, to keep our anesthetic procedures as safe as possible.  A new sterile pack is used for each patient, and a trained technician will be dedicated to monitoring your pet throughout the procedure.

We offer complete radiologic services (x-rays) for your pet, including OFA certification radiographs.  All of our digitized radiographs are read by a board-certified veterinary radiologist.  We also provide dental radiographs (see dentistry).

Laboratory Services

Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform comprehensive serum chemistry analysis, complete blood counts (CBC), urinalysis, microscopic/cytologic examinations, and parasite screening. We also use a full service laboratory and consulting services with board-certified veterinary specialists.

Hospital Accreditation (AAHA)

Since 1999, our hospital has been an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited facility. In order to earn accreditation, we must undergo periodic, comprehensive evaluations to meet AAHA’s rigorous standards.  This means the veterinary care your pet receives at SouthCare is among the finest in the industry!
