Hi!  I have been with SouthCare since 1997, though I had to leave in 2008 for almost two years when my husband started a job in Yakima.  While in Yakima, I worked at YVCC, teaching at the Veterinary Technology program.  When an opportunity to transfer back to Spokane came up, my husband grabbed at the chance, so I am now back at SouthCare! 

I have a BS from Washington State University in Zoology, and I worked full-time in wildlife research (emphasis on birds and botany) for about six years before starting at SouthCare.  We have a great staff and really talented doctors, so it’s a great place to work.

I’m an avid birder and have spent time on the Audubon Spokane and Washington Ornithological Society’s board of directors and as a field trip leader.  Currently, I’m serving as the registrar for the WOS annual conferences.   I also love hiking, walking, gardening, reading, and games and puzzles.  My husband and I share our home with Maya, a lab/sighthound mix, and Tizzie, a tortoiseshell DSH cat with a loud mouth.    Maya loves to hike with me, and Tizzie loves to complain when we get back home.
