Dr. Susan Wada recently joined our staff of doctors in November of 2009. She is a graduate of Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  Although she is new to SouthCare, she has practiced veterinary medicine in Spokane for the past 15 years and also practiced in Southern California (Manhattan Beach and Torrance) prior to moving to Spokane. 

Susan’s family includes her husband Lyle (a Whitworth University professor) and a number of furry, feathered, and scaled family members including Barney (a loving golden retriever) and Joey (a boisterous Moluccan cockatoo).  Recently, she lost their beloved cat, Tiki.

Her practice interests include small animal medicine, exotics, and dentistry.  She is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association and Washington State Veterinary Medical Association.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her pets and gardening.  She is also a member of the Spokane Orchid Society.
