Dr. Greg Benoit, who was born and raised in Virginia, moved to Washington State to attend Washington State University in 1978.

Dr. Benoit earned three degrees from WSU from 1978-1990. He received his BS in 1982, his MS in Animal Sciences in 1985, and his DVM in 1990.

He spent the next four years in Tacoma, WA in a mixed animal practice, followed by four years of strictly small animal practice, to which he took a strong liking.

Dr. Benoit purchased SouthCare Animal Clinic in Spokane, WA, in February of 1998. In 2007, he built a new state of the art hospital and changed the name to SouthCare Animal Medical Center.  The new building opened in September 2007. He is dedicated to provide comprehensive, progressive, compassionate veterinary medical surgical and dental care to our canine and feline friends.

Dr. Benoit has two children, Caroline and Greg, Jr. (“Chipper”).  He also owns a personable yellow Lab named Honey.  Honey can usually be seen snooping around the clinic, or snoozing under Dr. B’s desk.

Dr. Benoit is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, the Inland Empire Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Information Network.    Dr. Benoit is also an active member of the South Spokane Rotary club.

In his free time Dr. Benoit enjoys being active in whitewater kayaking, fishing, camping and skiing.
